Three researchers received their long-awaited diploma of doctor/doctor habilitat

Yesterday, on 27 November 2024, the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC) handed the diplomas of doctor habilitat and doctor, according to decisions of the Governing board of ANACEC from 24 May 2024.

Thus, the diplomas of doctor habilitat were issued to:
-    Mrs. Svetlana Bacal, leading scientific researcher, Laboratory of Entomology of the Institute of Zoology, who on 11 March 2024 publicly defended the thesis „ Saproxylic Coleoptera (Insecta) from the Republic of Moldova: taxonomy, ecology, zoogeography and importance”, speciality 165.04. Entomology, scientific supervisor – Galina Bușmachiu, dr.hab., assoc.prof., and
-    Mr. Serghei Filipenco, G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University, Tiraspol city, who on 26 January 2024 publicly defended the thesis „Biodiversity, conceptual regularities of the functioning of benthos communities in the Dubossar and Kuchurgan reservoirs”, specialty 166.01. Ecology, scientific supervisors – Ion Toderaş, dr.hab., university prof., academician of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) and  Elena Zubcov, dr.hab., research prof., corr. member of ASM.

Mrs Liubovi Lebedenco, scientific researcher in the Laboratory of Hydrobiology and Ecotoxicology of the Institute of Zoology, received her diploma for the thesis of doctor in biological sciences „Zooplankton of the aquatic ecosystems of the Republic of Moldova –diversity, structure and functioning depending on environmental factors”, specialty 166.01. Ecology, defended on 5 April 2024. The thesis was elaborated under the supervision of Elena Zubcov, dr.hab., research prof., corr. member of ASM, and Laurenția Ungureanu, dr.hab., research prof., corr. member of ASM.
