At the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology on November 26, 2020, the scientific reports for 2020 on the execution of research projects within the State Program 2020-2023 were presented and approved:
- 20.80009.7007.02 Evolutionary changes of economically important terrestrial fauna, of rare and protected species in the conditions of anthropogenic and climatic changes – EVOLANTER. Project manager: Assoc. Prof. Dr. habil. Galina Buşmachiu.
- 20.80009.7007.06 Determining the changes of aquatic environment, assessing the migration and impact of pollutants, establishing the patterns of the functioning of hydrobiocenoses and preventing the negative effects on ecosystems – AQUABIO. Project manager: Prof. Dr. habil. Elena Zubcov, Corr. member of the ASM.
- 20.80009.7007.12 Diversity of hematophagous arthropods, zoo- and phyto-helminths, their vulnerability and tolerance strategies to climatic factors and elaboration of innovative procedures for integrated control of species with socio-economic values – DIVZOO. Project manager: Prof. Dr.habil. Acad. Ion Toderaş.
Also, the audience was informed on the level of implementation of the international projects carried out in the frame of the Joint Operational Program Black Sea Basin 2014-2020 of the European Union:
- eMS BSB 165 Creating a system of innovative trans-boundary monitoring of the black sea river ecosystems transformation under impacts of hydropower development and climate change – HydroEcoNex. Project coordinator: Prof. Dr. habil. Elena Zubcov, Corr. member of the ASM.
- eMS BSB 27 Black Sea Basin interdisciplinary cooperation network for sustainable joint monitoring of environmental toxicants migration, improved evaluation of ecological state and human health impact of harmful substances, and public exposure – MONITOX. Project coordinator: Prof. Dr. habil. Elena Zubcov, Corr. member of the ASM.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova: acad. Victor Lacusta and Dr. Oleg Maşner (online).
