Pond fish farming – on TV Moldova 1

Current state of fish farming in the Republic of Moldova was one of the topics presented in the edition of the show "Codul Eco" from 9 May 2022, broadcast by the national television channel Moldova 1. Film shooting was done in the fish farm from Nimoreni village, Ialoveni district, having as interviewees Vitalie Bortă, fish farmer, Gheorghe Gheorghiu, executive director of the Association of Fish Farmers of the Republic of Moldova, and researchers of the Institute of Zoology – cor.mem. Elena Zubcov, dr. Nadejda Andreev and dr.hab. Dumitru Bulat.

The initiative to address this issue in a TV show came from the researchers of the Institute of Zoology, who, during the implementation of the project 2 SOFT / 1.2 / 47 Team up for healthy fish in aquaculture systems of the Prut river basin – TeamUp HealthyFish, have had many opportunities to learn from the first source about the ecological, economic and even legislative problems that fish farmers face in recent years.
