Acta Zoologica Bulgarica awarded the PhD student Alexandr Vasiliev

The Joint ESENIAS (East and South European Network for Invasive Alien Species) and DIAS (Danube Region Invasive Alien Species Network) Conference 2023 and the 12th ESENIAS workshop ”Globalisation and invasive alien species in the Black Sea and Mediterranean regions – management challenges and regional cooperation” took place on 11-14 October 2023 in Varna, Bulgaria. 

Within the conference, the scientific researcher of the Institute of Zoology, Moldova State University, Alexandr Vasileiv was awarded by the journal Acta Zoologica Bulgarica (ISSN: 0324-0770) for the work  entitled ”Discoveries of non-native Aranea (Arachnida) and Simuliidae (Diptera) species in the Republic of Moldova”. The award consists in offering the possibility to publish for free a scientific article in the field of zoology in the Acta Zoologica Bulgarica – an open access journal, ISI Impact Factor (2019) = 0.354.

It should be mentioned that Alexandr Vasiliev, as PhD student in the 3rd year, scientific specialty 165.02 Zoology, Doctoral School of Biological, Geonomical, Chemical and Technological Sciences, the doctoral organizing institution – Moldova State University, scientific supervisor – Dr.Assist.Prof. Tatiana Șuleșco, is among the 21 PhD students from the Republic of Moldova, who benefit of the Government Scholarship of Excellence in 2023.
