Works of the Institute of Zoology were appreciated at the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation EUROINVENT-2023

The Institute of Zoology, Moldova State University, participated in the 15th edition of the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation EUROINVENT, which was held on 11-13 May 2023 in Iasi, Romania.

The works of the institute were highly appreciated by the international jury:

• Method for pond farming of fish producers of cyprinids (authors: Zubcov Elena, Zubcov Natalia, Ungureanu Laurenţia, Bagrin Nina, Miron Liviu-Dan, Bulat Denis, Ciorba Petru, Bileţchi Lucia, Andreev Nadejda) – gold medal;
• Procedure of collecting ectoparasites from the alive Galliformes (authors: Rusu Ştefan, Erhan Dumitru, Zamornea Maria, Toderaş Ion) – gold medal;
• Strain of fungi Beauveria bassiana CNMN-FE-01 – bioinsecticide against weevils (authors: Moldovan Anna, Munteanu-Molotievskiy Natalia, Toderaş Ion) – gold medal;
• Universal mobile complex for fish breeding (authors: Crepis Oleg, Bulat Dumitru, Zubcov Elena, Bulat Denis) – silver medal;
• Method for treating seed potatoes against the nematode Ditylenchus destructor (authors: Melnic Maria, Erhan Dumitru, Gliga Olesea, Rusu Ştefan, Balan Ludmila, Slanina Valerina, Onofraș Leonid, Todiraș Vasile) – silver medal.

Moreover, the work “Method for pond farming of fish producers of cyprinid” received the special award of the Croatian Inventors Network, and the Institute of Zoology, along with the Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection and the National Botanical Garden „Alexandru Ciubotaru” (Institute) – the special award ”Advances in biology” offered by the prof. Hazim Al Daraji. 

The Institute of Zoology took also part in the book exhibition EUROINVENT-2023 by presenting three works, all being distinguished with diplomas of excellence:

• Ecotoxicological methodological guide for environmental monitoring: problematics, laboratory techniques and health risk investigation  (editors: Elena Zubcov, Antoaneta Ene);
• Methodological guide for fish farmers (editors: Elena Zubcov, Liviu-Dan Miron);
• Entomopathogenic fungi (Anna Moldovan, Natalia Munteanu-Molotievskiy, Ion Toderaș).

Within the meeting of the Senate of the Moldova State University from 30 May 2023, the winners of the EUROINVENT Exhibition were congratulated by the members of the Senate for their contribution in the field of research. More details can be found at https://usm.md/?p=20501.
