The Institute of Zoology participated in the celebration of Science Day, organized by the Ministry of Education and Research

The Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova organized on 20 November 2023 the celebration of the Science Day in the Republic of Moldova. The event took place in the premises of the Palace of the Republic, with the participation of research institutions (universities, research institutes) from various fields – biology, medicine, agriculture, philology, economics, mathematics, physics, engineering, etc.

The Institute of Zoology brought to public attention the books published in recent years, awards obtained in 2023 at the invention exhibitions, pieces from the Museum of Fossil Faunistic Complexes, entomological collections and pieces from private collections of the institute's researchers.

Awards of the Government of the Republic of Moldova have been handed out during the event. Among those who took the stage was Dr. Assoc.Prof. Ștefan Rusu, leading scientific researcher in the Laboratory of Parasitology and Helminthology, Institute of Zoology, awarded with the Honorary Diploma of the Government of the Republic of Moldova as a sign of gratitude and appreciation for creative ideas, continuous perseverance, of the substantial contribution to the development of science and the promotion of outstanding results in the field of research and innovation, as well as on the occasion of Science Day.

It should be noted that the festivity was broadly reflected by mass-media.
