European Researchers' Night 2020: video presentation of the museums of the Institute of Zoology

Researchers' Night is one of the most popular events, which target the general public and aim to promote scientific activity and stimulate interest in research careers, especially among young people.

The "Researchers 'Night 2020" event is organized as part of the EU's "European Researchers' Night" initiative, which has existed as an independent project in the Marie Curie Actions series since 2006. This project establishes a real and consistent dialogue between researchers and the non-specialist public and also shows the general public what it means to be a researcher and how interesting research work can be. In 2019, the event organized in over 400 European cities attracted over 1.6 million visitors. This year, the event will take place on November 27, 2020.

The Institute of Zoology has prepared two video materials, dedicated to the Museum of Fossil Fauna Complexes and the Museum of Entomology.

We sincerely thank the researchers who participated in elaboration of video materials: dr. assoc. prof.  Livia Calestru, dr.hab. assoc. prof. Galina Bușmachiu, Cristina Țugulea, dr. hab. prof. Valeriu Derjanschi, dr. assoc. prof. Svetlana Bacal (Laboratory of  Entomology), Teodor Obadă, Viorica Pascari (Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates).
