Researchers of the Institute of Zoology participated in the international scientific conference "Museum and scientific research", XXIXth edition, Craiova

Between September 15-17, the International Scientific Conference "Museum and scientific research", XXIXth edition, was held, being organized by the Natural Sciences section of the Oltenia Museum, Craiova, Romania. The researchers of the Institute of Zoology presented 5 works in the form of oral and poster communications. 

The opening of the conference took place in the Administrative Palace of the Dolj County Council, where Ph.D. Victoria Nistreanu, associate professor, and Ph.D. Svetlana Bacal, associate professor, made plenary presentations. The conference continued in sections at the Natural Sciences section of the Oltenia Museum and in the administrative building of the Oltenia Museum.

The field trip had as destination the natural and cultural sites in the Danube meadow (Dolj County), including the Marincu Palace - the Museum of Art and Ethnography from Calafat.

Researchers of the Institute of Zoology has been collaborating for over 15 years with the Natural Sciences section of the Oltenia Museum and have common publications with colleagues from the museum. PhD Valeriu Derjanschi, professor, is a permanent member of the conference International Scientific Committee in the last years, and the institute's researchers have published over 100 papers in the "Oltenia Journal for studies in Natural Sciences".
