Distinctions of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova for researchers of the Institute of Zoology

On 10 November 2023, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, like the entire scientific community, celebrated the World Science Day for Peace and Development. In the festive meeting, organized on this occasion, various distinctions of ASM were handed out, including to the researchers of the Institute of Zoology:

• Dimitrie Cantemir Medal – to Dr. Assoc.Prof. Nicolai Zubcov, leading scientific researcher in the Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates;
• Dimitrie Cantemir Medal – to Dr. Hab. Prof. Dumitru Erhan, principal scientific researcher in the Laboratory of Parasitology and Helminthology;
• Academic Merit Diploma – to Dr. Assoc.Prof. Anatolie Savin, leading scientific researcher in the Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates;
• Academic Merit Diploma – to Dr. Assoc.Prof. Alina Larion, Head of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates;
• Honorary Diploma – to Dr. Assoc.Prof. Oxana Munjiu, leading scientific researcher in the Laboratory of Hydrobiology and Ecotoxicology.

For prodigious research activity and scientific results in the field of biological sciences, the national and international promotion of science, as well as on the occasion of the Science Day, Excellence Diplomas were conferred to Dr.Hab. Assoc.Prof. Galina Bușmachiu, Head of the Professor Boris Vereşciaghin Laboratory of Entomology, and Dr. Anna Moldovan, senior scientific researcher in the Laboratory of Molecular Systematics and Phylogeny.
